There are many different types of healthy foods. To have a solid diet, the amount of grains, vegetables, fruits, milk, meat and beans, and oils must amount to a set calorie number every day and be of lower-fat products. Grains provide lots if nutrients, but refined ones are stripped of the nutrients. It is better to eat whole grains to gain the most nutrition. Vegetables are very healthy and can provide a delicious snack for very few calories, just like fruits. Milk gives many vitamins, but the fats in whole milk can be quite high. Meats and beans give lots of protein, but to decrease fat amounts, lean meats are better choices. Beans give better protein for fewer calories. Oils are also essential in daily food. Nuts and vegetable oils can provide lots of healthy oils.

Unhealthy foods such as chips and solid fats are bad for your diet. Many junk foods contains exceedingly plentiful sodium. This can lead to unhealthy effects such as high blood pressure and other such effects. Also, there are many acids and extra starches. These give a surplus of lipids that your body does not need, thus creating obesity over long periods of time.
